I could say that my passion lies in cars or anything that has an engine and wheels, but mostly cars. The reason I know it’s my passion is because if I were a billionaire, the first thing I would do is buy a car, okay, maybe more. It’s not just the way they look, it’s the way they work and the way they make me feel when I drive them.
Most people don’t get what is so amazing about cars, why people are so into them, they say it’s just “something that gets you places”, “why would you spend so much money on that?”. Well, according to a study the average people spend, on shopping clothes alone in one month is £400, see, I don’t get that, what are you going to do with so many clothes? Yet I don’t judge you, so why do you judge me?
Every person has different passions, some share them while some have their own weird (weird for me, but not for you) ones. I decided to follow mine and not care what others think.
Since I was little I loved getting into cars and pretend I’m a racer or that I drive. I still do that, but now I can literally do it. I pass by cars, or they pass by me, and I react the same as guys react when a beautiful woman passes by, we see the front but we want to look at that awesome rear end as well. Now, with all these new cars, new models, new projects, prototypes and promises I feel like I was born in the right era and if I could, I would have them all (not all but you get what I mean).
The worst downside of being a car fan is seeing people (idiots) having really cool and beautiful cars and they don’t even know how to drive. I’m not really an expert driver but if I park and scratch my wheel on the sidewalk, I’m going to apologize to that car like I just slapped my boss by mistake or if I am going to brag with my car I’m going to make sure I can control that car. My brain cringes when I see people like that.
The best upside of being a car fan, for me, is hearing them roar. I love the car sounds. If it doesn’t roar, I’m going to be fairly disappointed and I’m sure most car fans will share my opinion.
In the end it doesn’t matter what passion you have or what passion someone else has. Your passion will make you happy and it will help you connect easier with people that share it, so go out and be passionate about your passion.
